Why Me (Anne-Marie)
I am a TEDx speaker, educator (Telfer School of Management), and transformation strategist with 20+ years across public, private, and community health. I hold certifications in Prosci (change management), Lean Black Belt in Healthcare, and coaching certifications in Flow Coaching and Organizational and Systems Relations Coaching. I’ve seen how the health system would benefit from expanding its approach to address its complex issues by adopting different frameworks based in systems thinking and complexity science. I am known for presenting clear frameworks, warm facilitation, and turning complexity into action.

Helping health leaders see the system differently

I speak about healthcare, complexity, systems thinking, technology, leadership, and change.
My talks are designed for people working in environments where the challenges are interconnected, the perspectives are multiple, and the path forward is rarely obvious.
Rather than reducing complexity to a simple framework, I help audiences explore the patterns, relationships, and assumptions shaping the systems they work within.
My aim is to make complex ideas accessible without making them simplistic.
What I speak about
My speaking work often explores questions such as:
- What changes when we stop treating healthcare as a collection of separate parts?
- How can leaders navigate uncertainty without pretending they can predict or control everything?
- What happens when technology enters a living system of people, relationships, policies, and practices?
- Why do well-designed changes produce unexpected consequences?
- How do relationships and interdependencies shape outcomes we often attribute to structures or processes?
- What does leadership require when no one person can see the whole system?
Topics can be adapted to the context, audience, and purpose of an event.
What audiences can expect
I combine stories, practical experience, systems thinking, complexity science and questions that invite people to reconsider familiar challenges from a different perspective.
My style is conversational and reflective, with enough structure to make complex ideas accessible while leaving room for uncertainty, multiple perspectives, and discussion.
Depending on the setting, talks can include audience interaction, facilitated reflection, or activities that help participants explore the ideas in their own context.
Experience behind the ideas
I bring more than 20 years of experience across healthcare, transformation, technology, governance, strategy, and organizational change.
I am also an educator at the Telfer School of Management, where I teach graduate-level courses in health informatics and change management, and a TEDx speaker on systems thinking in healthcare.
My professional training includes change management, Lean Healthcare, project management, systems and team coaching, and flow coaching.
The perspective I bring to the stage comes from moving between practice, teaching, coaching, and systems work rather than from any single methodology.
